Report a possible error
Email expert@plcprogramming.io with “Correction” in the subject line.
- The exact page URL and the disputed sentence, table row, or image.
- Why it is wrong, incomplete, outdated, or misleading.
- A primary source, reproducible test, or other supporting evidence.
- The product version, location, or date if the claim varies by context.
- Any relationship you have to the product or organization involved.
How reports are evaluated
A report is assessed against the claim as written and the strongest available evidence. Priority is based on reader harm and reach, not on whether the report is favourable to us.
- Urgent: unsafe instructions, materially false professional or legal claims, corrupted data, or a disclosure failure.
- High: a wrong compatibility statement, price, version, ranking input, calculation, or installation step that changes the reader's decision.
- Routine: outdated interface details, incomplete context, broken references, and smaller factual errors.
- Editorial: spelling, grammar, formatting, and wording that does not change the meaning.
What happens after verification
- A material error is corrected in the page body and the real review or modification date is updated.
- Where the previous claim could materially mislead a reader, a correction note states what changed and why.
- If verification will take time and the claim presents meaningful risk, the claim or page can be withdrawn or excluded from indexing while it is investigated.
- Small spelling and formatting fixes may be made without a public note when they do not change meaning.
- A correction does not erase a valid source disagreement. When authoritative sources conflict, the page should explain the conflict and its practical consequence.
Independence and requests from companies
Companies may supply documentation, test access, or a response. They cannot purchase a factual change, the removal of a supported limitation, or a favourable score. A commercial relationship must be disclosed when it is relevant to the correction.
We may decline unsupported demands to remove accurate criticism. We will still correct a claim when the evidence shows that it is wrong.
Privacy and attribution
A reporter may ask not to be named publicly. Evidence can still be described or linked where necessary to support the correction. Do not send confidential machine programs, personal data, licence keys, or information you are not authorized to share.
